The LEF Moving Image Fund pre-production grant application is now open! The submission deadline is Friday, June 2. If you're a New England-based filmmaker with a feature documentary project in development, we encourage you to read our guidelines and contact us to determine whether your project matches the LEF Moving Image Fund's eligibility requirements and funding criteria.

LEF is excited to announce 10 Moving Image Fund grants totaling $190,000 in production and post-production support to New England-based independent documentary filmmakers! See the full list of Spring 2017 grantees.

On Sunday, June 4 at 2pm at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, LEF grantees Amy Geller and Allie Humenuk screen their LEF-funded film THE GUYS NEXT DOOR followed by a panel discussion on the evolution of the American family, moderated by Erin Trahan, a regular contributor to WBUR's the ARTery. Following its May 2 broadcast on PBS, you can now stream SECOND CHANCE KIDS, a FRONTLINE film produced by Ken Dornstein, Jason Pugatch, and Brian Funck, and associated with Jason Pugatch's LEF-funded feature project THE COMMONWEALTH VS. JOSEPH DONOVAN.

From February through June, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston presents a retrospective series of the works of LEF grantee Frederick Wiseman to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his first film TITICUT FOLLIES. In May, you can see two of Wiseman's LEF-funded films, including BOXING GYM and STATE LEGISLATURE. See the full schedule
